Summary
The Chief Financial Officer is a highly responsible Executive Level Position within the structure of the Fort Bidwell Indian Community Council Tribal Government. The individual occupying this position is responsible for supervising, planning, organizing, and directing all aspects of the financial accounting and reporting activities of the Fort Bidwell Indian community Council Government. The incumbent is directly responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of all the financial tracking and reporting systems, financial forecasting and analysis, and fiscal reports assigned and maintained by the accounting department of the Fort Bidwell Indian Community Council. The Chief Financial Officer serves as principal assistant and advisor to the Tribal Administrator and Tribal Council for analyzing and reviewing all financial aspects of the Tribe and its component units.
Qualifications
- 1. Must have a BA degree in Accounting or related field and professional CPAin good standing.
- 2. Must have a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in financialmanagement (preferably governmental background), with at least five (5) years in a supervisory role.
- 3. Tribal government experience preferred.
- 4. Knowledge of fund accounting and an ability to develop and apply modern accounting methods in an automated accounting system.

Summary
Under the supervision of the Fort Bidwell Indian Community Council, the Tribal Administrator is responsible for overall tribal management including administration, financial management, human resources, and program/project management. The Tribal Administrator provides suppo1t and guidance to all tribal programs including cultural, youth and education, emergency services, environmental protection, housing improvement, ICWA and social services, transportation planning, economic development and other contracted and/or grant programs.
Qualifications
- 1. BA or BS degree in Business or Public Administration or related degree with three years of verifiable, successful work experience as an administrator or in a position of equal level or responsibility; OR
- 2. A minimum of five years in administration and/or combination of education, training, and experience equal to five years of successful administration experience or in a position of equal responsibility.
- 3. Experience in the area of Indian affairs or Tribal Government.
- 4. Knowledge and experience in audit preparation, financial management, government fund accounting, human resources/personnel/employee supervision, and grant and contract management.

The Grants Manger will be responsible for overseeing the complete life cycle of grants from proposal development to post-award management. The Grant Manger will help research and identify potential funding sources, prepare and submit grant reports as required, help monitor grant expenditures, and ensure compliance with all grant requirements and agreement terms and conditions.
